The Adamawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Council Forum has begun a reconciliation process aimed at uniting aggrieved members of the party following the recently concluded primaries.

The Publicity Secretary of the Forum, Comrade Ahmed Sajoh, disclosed this while addressing journalists after a strategic reconciliation meeting held in Yola, the state capital.

He said the Forum is out to strengthen party unity, reconcile aggrieved members, and position the All Progressives Congress (APC) for victory in future elections.

Sajoh explained that the Adamawa APC Elders Council Forum was established to serve as an inclusive, non-partisan platform dedicated to promoting peace, unity, and progress within the party.

He noted that the forum has continued to record significant progress in its engagements with party leaders, stakeholders, and aspirants across the state.

Sajoh, a former Commissioner of Information and Strategy in the state, said consultations and reconciliation efforts are ongoing to ensure that every member has a sense of belonging, regardless of the outcome of the party primaries.

He emphasized that the forum remains committed to accommodating all interests within the APC and building a united political family capable of delivering victory for all party candidates.

Earlier in his remarks, the Vice Chairman of the forum and former Senator, Abubakar Halilu Girei, said the gathering was convened to consolidate the party, encourage reconciliation among members, and develop a united front capable of delivering electoral victories for APC candidates at all levels—from the Presidency to the Governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly, and other elective offices.

Our correspondent reports that the meeting was chaired by Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA and Chairman of the Adamawa APC Elders Council Forum.

 

Other attendees included the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Senator Abubakar Halilu Girei; Mrs. Olvadi Bema Madayi, Commissioner representing Adamawa State at the Federal Character Commission; Hon. Abdulrahman Shuaibu Aras; former Governor Bala James Ngilari; and several other elders and stakeholders of the party.
