The All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State have resolved to work for the emergence of best candidates for the 2023 elections to be able to oust the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Local government party chairmen, secretaries, youths and women leaders attended a town hall meeting held in Yola yesterday to discuss the best ways to field quality and acceptable candidates for governorship and other elective posts in the forthcoming elections.
The APC lost the governorship seat in the 2019 after the PDP candidate; Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri defeated the then governor, Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow.
In a speech delivered at the meeting, a party faithful, Jamilu Yusuf, charged the participants to speak with one voice in the journey towards entrenching transparent and people-centred leadership at all levels.
