Senior Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, has assured Adamawa State APC members that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu highly values the votes and support the party received from the state in the 2023 elections, despite facing opposition.

“The President takes those votes as golden votes, and we really appreciate the votes gotten from Adamawa state,” Masari said. “The President gave big offices like the NSA and others to the people of Adamawa.”

This was disclosed during a stakeholders meeting of the Adamawa State CPC family (in APC) Reunion and press conference held in Yola on Saturday.

The programme was attended by other representatives of defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) members from Taraba, Gombe, and Bauchi.

At the meeting, Masari dismissed speculations about the CPC bloc breaking out of the APC to form a coalition, saying, “Who are more of CPC other than our supporters? They have spoken, they took decisions, and they have declared their support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

He added that the party is confident of victory in 2027, saying, “God willing, we will be here with you to celebrate and rejoice our victory.”

Senator Ahmed Abubakar MoAllahyidi, Convener and Chairman of the Adamawa State CPC Block in APC, called on party members to remain steadfast and united in the face of adversity.

“The CPC Bloc is the backbone of the APC, and without its members, the party would not have achieved its victories,” MoAllahyidi emphasized.

He highlighted the party’s achievements under President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership, including infrastructure development, anti-corruption efforts, and social investment programs.

MoAllahyidi urged members to remain patient and trust the process, saying, “We must trust the process of the reforms that are being undertaken. We need to engage the process to be part of it and offer cogent solutions to anything we perceive is not going well.”

He also emphasized the importance of retaining the rotational presidency between the north and south, saying, “This is the reason why we must ensure that the rotational presidency between the north and the south must be retained for fairness and equity.”

Comrade Mustapha Salihu, North East National Vice Chairman of the CPC, conveyed the goodwill of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and expressed the CPC’s commitment to the APC.

“We the members of the CPC are joining the APC, we have a leader in President Muhammadu Buhari, he has given us one way of direction, and now he has given us direction,” Salihu said.

“Any black sheep or a prodigal son that intends to do otherwise is standing on his own. CPC party block with APC are hundred percent behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.” He stated.
