Ahead of the All progressives Congress (APC ) governorship primaries in Adamawa State scheduled for Thursday, a contender, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, has withdrawn from the race.
The development was announced by the head of strategic communications of the Comrade Salihu campaign organization, Hon. Ahmad Sajoh, on Thursday morning.
Sajoh explained that Salihu withdrew from the gubernatorial race to contest for the central senatorial zone ticket.
He said, “The Comrade Mustapha Salihu campaign organization wishes to inform his coordinators and teaming supporters that following directives from the leadership of the party at the National level he has stepped down from the gubernatorial elections and will take up the senatorial candidate of the central senatorial zone.

“Comrade Mustapha Salihu expresses sincere appreciation to the people of Adamawa state especially members of the APC for the love and support he received as an Aspirant for the governorship of the state.
