The Adamawa State police command has successfully dislodged criminal hideouts at Lamunde Hill and National Park communities that share borders with Cameroon.
The command under the auspices of Operation Puff Adder II has also recovered nine sets of Cameroon military fatigues, motorcycle, and a Cameroonian national flag.
Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, said on the 19th of March, 2021, they were able to disconnect the criminal networks connecting Southern part of Adamawa and Cameroon republic.
He explained that operations was carried out by Toungo division in collaboration with special hunters of Pulaaku association at Lamurde, which is a remote side of the national park in Toungo local government area of Adamawa state.
“It is the outcome of successful follow-ups on cases bordering on kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, unlawful possession of firearms, amongst others,” he said.
