The Adamawa State Government, through the Ministry for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services (MRRR&HS), has extended support to more than 200 vulnerable families across the state’s three senatorial zones.
The intervention was efficiently supervised by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Pharmacist Amos Enoch Piribu, and implemented in consultation with traditional rulers to ensure that the most vulnerable community members were accurately identified and selected.
This initiative, part of the Renewed Hope programme of the Office of the Wife of the President, was executed in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) under the Disengagement, Disassociation, Reintegration, and Reconciliation (DDRR) project.
Beneficiaries received business start-up kits tailored to various trades, including bakery, provision stores, phone repair and charging services, as well as farming.

Items distributed include:
• Bags of sugar, flour, and maize
• Cartons of Milo, spaghetti, instant noodles, milk, Maggi, and other food items
• 25 liters of cooking oil
• Agricultural inputs
• Phone repair and charging gadgets
Speaking at the event, officials emphasized that the intervention is designed to empower vulnerable families with sustainable means of livelihood while fostering community reintegration and long-term resilience.
