I must begin by commending the education minister for the recent decisions he made in the sector.
The decisions include; scrapping of post-UTME, degree at NTI,  introduction of Religious and National Value (RNV) which has merged civic education, peace and conflict resolution and others into one and bringing back History as a mandatory subject in a new curriculum .
Despite these, I need to point out here that the education sector is bedeviled by so many challenges ranging from poor educational policy, poor funding, lack of infrastructure & instructional facilities, lack of qualified teachers among others.
Efforts must be made to tackle the problems, as only quality education can guarantee a developed society.
 I also urge the minister to encourage people in the public and private sector to invest in education.
