A pressure group, Unified Nigeria Youth Forum (UNYF), has said in Kaduna that the former minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, initiated policies that led to effective teaching and education system.

A statement signed by the president, Comrade Abdulsalam Moh’d Kazeem, also said Adamu ensured significant improvement in the use of technology in teaching, learning and research.

He called on President Muhammadu Buhari to consider some members of his previous cabinet in his new government.

He said while few ministers performed below expectations, bearing in mind the financial problems of the country, Adamu was not found guilty of corruption, job racketeering, contract scandal, favourism or nepotism.

“He is the only minster that strongly believed in the Nigerian project. For instance, he established a secondary education commission, reduced charges in unity colleges from N83,000 to N49,500 and pegged PTA levy at N5,000 across board, thereby ending arbitrary charges amounting to N75,000 in some of the colleges,” the statement said.
