Adda Commonwealth Writers’ online gathering of stories is soliciting for non-fiction and poetry for publication in 2017 and 2018 

The platform is looking to commission a number of pieces for publication. Each commission will be given detailed editorial attention to ensure a level of quality in the work published and also to offer the writers, especially those less experienced, a process to develop their writing.

To be eligible for the one-off paid commissions for nonfiction, writers are requested to write a piece, between 1500 and 500 words, or an outline of the project and why of 750 words maximum. 

If a writer is offered a nonfiction commission, there may also be a small expenses fund available to aid research if the writer indicates that need.

There are no subject restrictions and only citizens of Commonwealth countries like Nigeria are eligible. Also, a writing history of not more than 300 words is required for both poetry and nonfiction.

Adda is a Commonwealth Writers’ online gathering of stories, a place where writers and readers can talk to each other across global and geopolitical divides.

Deadline for submissions is July 3 2017.
