Additional 2,000 cooks validated for school feeding

Additional 2,000 cooks validated for school feeding

Bauchi State has validated 2,000 additional cooks for the Home Grown School Feeding Programme. 

According to a statement by the Bauchi State Social Investment Programmes Office (BSSIPO),  the validation of the fresh 2,000 cooks was received from the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS). 

The breakdown of consolidated cooks and pupils data released by BSSIPO indicates that Bauchi Southern zone has 2,383 cooks and 230,269 pupils, Bauchi Northern zone, 1,169 cooks and 108,686 pupils while Bauchi Central zone has 1,661 cooks for 133,423 pupils. 

Meanwhile, members of the State School Feeding Multi Sectoral Team (SSFMT) embarks on sensitization campaign to headquarters of 20 LGAs today to interact with cooks, traditional and religious leaders, among other stakeholders.
