Mr. Olawale Adediran has emerged as the 19th president/chairman of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), the apex regulatory body for the practice of Human Resource Management in Nigeria.

At the investiture held in Lagos, Adediran, who is the current Group Human Resources Director, Flour Mills of Nigeria PLC & Subsidiaries was said to have put in almost three decades of work experience in the Human Resource space.

Prior to his election as president, he served the institute on the Annual National Conference Planning Committee as Vice Chairman (2009 and 2010), and as chairman and member of the Governing Council in 2011. He served again on the Governing Council as chairman of the Strategic Planning and Implementation Committee (SPIC) from 2016 till 2017.

He was elected as the vice president of the institute in 2017 and maintained the position for two years under the leadership of Mr. Udom Inoyo, FCIPM.

In his acceptance, the new president said he and his team are ready to hit the ground running to deliver the strategic goals and objectives that have been set to deliver on the institute’s mandate.

He explained that the strategic goals and objectives are centred on three key pillars: stakeholder service, strengthened branches and regionally respected HR practice standard.

“This will basically lead to the ‘re-engineered governance foundation’ and the overall objective of making the CIPM brand more attractive through revamping of our curriculum, study packs and certification criteria/procedure.

The CIPM president said the institute’s journey has begun with the engagement of various stakeholder groups.
