The founder and chairman of Ashraaf Islamic Foundation, Dr Sharafudeen Aliagan, has urged Muslims to strictly adhere to Islamic laws on distribution of inheritance.
Aliagan made the call at the foundation’s 6th Annual Maulud Nabiyy Lecture series which was held in Abuja.
“The issue of inheritance has disunited a lot of families and communities, just because some do not want to share it in the ways of Allah.
“If we fail to follow the laws of Allah in the Holy Qur’an, then we are not complete Muslims. My call to them is: let us adhere to the rules of Allah and the teachings of the Holy Prophet. That makes you a complete Muslim. You cannot be a Muslim and accept only some aspects of Islam,” Aliagan said.
The chairman, Board of Directors of Jaiz Bank Plc, Alhaji Mohammed Bintube, said everyone, regardless of religion and tribe, is affected by inheritance, thus its importance.
