Adopt modern digital tech to fight insecurity, NITDA tells army
According to him, warfare is no longer physical and digital technology now helps advanced countries combat insecurity.

The Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, says it is imperative for the Nigerian Army to adopt 21st century military infrastructure and technology in fighting insurgency and banditry.
He said this in Abuja Wednesday when he received the Chief of Defence Communications of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Elvis Njoku and his team who were at the NITDA’s headquarters to seek collaboration to improve its military operations.

According to him, warfare is no longer physical and digital technology now helps advanced countries combat insecurity.
He said technology had affected every aspect of life includes security as Army should embrace it wholeheartedly in its operations.
Responding, Njoku said the new Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, mandated him to visit all communications and IT-related government established institutions and collaborate with them with the purpose of tackling the contemporary security challenges.
