The Nigerian government must realise that our problems are not a political, religious or ethnic but a national calamity. So, we must adopt diplomatic strategies to solve them.

Our leaders must be able to differentiate between leadership by coercion and leadership by attraction.

Diplomacy and good governance are two inseparable concepts that can deliver good dividends of democracy to Nigerians and we must all embrace them. Good governance can only be achieved when our leaders rule through a relationship of respect rather than rancor and claiming of moral superiority.

We, therefore, must strive to promote diplomatic ideals between public and private sectors and ensure that all our relationships, at home, at work and in our society are managed by diplomatic principles so that we can build trust and confidence between the leaders and the led. 

We all must also ensure the effective use of diplomacy as a tool for conflict and crisis management in Nigeria, because we are determined to create a centre for the formulation of diplomatic policies for good governance and effective management of public and private sector organisations.
