The former minority leader of the Senate, Senator Philip Aduda, has commended the appointment of Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara as the Acting National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Daily Trust had reported that the PDP, supported by the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, announced the removal of the former PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Damagun, and the party’s Legal Adviser during a press conference in Abuja on Saturday.
Aduda, who is also the leader of the PDP in the FCT, described Takushara’s appointment as a moment of pride for the PDP family and a testament to his vision and loyalty to the ideals of the party.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, the Senator said the unanimous endorsement of Takushara as the Acting National Chairman of the PDP reflects the deep trust reposed in his leadership and the collective confidence that he will guide the party with wisdom, unity, and renewed purpose.
Daily Trust reports that prior to Takushara’s appointment as Acting PDP National Chairman, he was the party’s North-Central Zonal Chairman.
