The Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) has trained about 100 MSMEs on business and financial management.
The Managing Director / CEO of AEA, Mal Shehu Abdulkadir, who spoke to the media at the event yesterday, said the training had become necessary because the Enterprise Development Service Department realised that a gap was missing with many of the MSMEs they interacted with.
He said, “We discovered that most of them do not keep financial records and many do not have simple accounting knowledge that will help their businesses thrive. By organising this free training for them, we believe they will know how much comes into their business and how much is spent. When they know this, it will help them do their businesses ethically.”
One of the participants and CEO of HastJ Fruit Juice, Hassana Omolade, said the training had been very impactful.
