Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has assured the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, of improved electricity supply in the area.
AEDC director in charge of corporate services, Engr Abimbola Odibiyi, who led other officials of the power firm during a visit to the monarch said the company was reviewing the power line from Gwagwalada to Abaji, with a view of reinforcing it.
He said the move will enhance its capacity to deliver more electricity to the area.
Odibiyi reiterated the need for customers to reciprocate the company’s gesture by ensuring prompt payment of their bills.
He appealed for customers’ cooperation in curbing the rising cases of vandalism of electricity facilities in the area.
In his response, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, expressed his appreciation for the visit and said he was particularly delighted at the speed with which the AEDC headquarters swung into action toward finding lasting solution to the challenges of epileptic power supply in the area.
“We are happy that AEDC made a promise during our visit two weeks ago, and we can see that the promise has been kept,” the Ona Abaji said.
The monarch said the community will collaborate with the company to ensure great improvement in service delivery to the area.
