Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC)
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced the start of the second phase of its planned load management exercise for power supply across its franchise area.
The company stated that the load management exercise was necessitated by the ongoing Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) road construction on the 132 Kilo Volt (kV) Gwagwalada-Kukwaba-Apo Line II.
AEDC made this known in a statement published on its website in Abuja on Thursday.
The exercise, the company said, runs from Wednesday to Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily. (NAN)
The statement noted that customers in areas including parts of Apo, Lokogoma, Guzape, Asokoro, Wuye, Utako, Jabi, Idu Industrial Area, Karu, Nyanya, Mararaba, Jikwoyi, and Ado will experience temporary power interruptions.
It also specified that Keffi, Nasarawa Toto, Nasarawa Eggon, Akwanga, and surrounding areas may experience temporary power interruptions.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience and appreciate your continued understanding,” the statement read.
According to AEDC, this exercise is essential to support FCDA’s road expansion work and ensure long-term network stability.
The company also assured customers that its teams would be on the ground to ensure quick restoration each day, and that customers will receive timely updates ahead of the next phase. (NAN)
