Chairman of the state AFAN, Alhaji MuhammedTukur Bello, described Dr Baraka as a bridge between farmers association and the government. He added that the outgoing Director, ATA Alhaji Yamen, has done a great job in ensuring that farmers in Kano benefited from the variety of projects initiated by the transformation agenda through the Growth Enhancement Support initiative (GES).
Alhaji Bello called on farmers across the state to cooperate and support each other so as to enjoy more of such projects at both the state level and the nation at large.
In her speech after receiving the award, Dr Baraka expressed gratitude to the farmers associations for the support given her and pledged to continue supporting them.
On his part, the second recipient of the award, Alhaji Ahmed Yamen, commended the associations for the award, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation the organizations have given to the government.
