He has a master in Islamic Banking, Finance and Management from the University of Gloucestershire in the UK, a postgraduate diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance from the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance, London and a postgraduate diploma in Financial Management at the Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi.
He also has an advanced diploma in Business Administration from the University of Lagos as well as a diploma in accounting at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
