Barely three weeks after Daily Trust reported the suspension of Kureken-Sani bypass project and its impact on motorists coming into Kano via the Wudil-Maiduguri federal highway, the state government has completed the project.
After an abrupt suspension of the road project for over a month, Daily Trust reported the difficulty motorists and residents were experiencing and that led the contractor back to the site to complete the project.

The Kureken-Sani Road project was initiated to provide alternative routes for motorists following the closure of the main road because of the ongoing construction work at the Muhammadu Buhari interchange fly-over situated at Hotoro NNPC Mega Station roundabout in Kano.
Yusuf Kabir, a resident of the area, expressed his delight at the prompt response of the government following their save our soul message.
“This is a new development for all of us who have once suffered because of this road.
“A lot of accidents had occurred, dust everywhere even in our homes, but now you can see everyone is comfortable moving around because the road project has been completed”, he said with a smile.
