After torture, my abductors asked me to pray for them – Apostle

The founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko, who was freed four days after his abduction, said his kidnappers requested for prayers before his release.

Okoriko, who was kidnapped in his residence last week at Mkpat Enin LGA in Akwa Ibom State, revealed that two of the five-man gang which abducted him knelt down before him asking for prayers.

Narrating his experience during a service on Sunday, the octogenarian said the kidnappers tortured him more than necessary so that he could accept to pay the initial N100m they demanded.

He said, “The torture was much. They did terrible things to my body to force me to bring money to them. I told them I had not seen such money in my entire life.

“They told me I am ‘Adeboye’ – the richest pastor closer to them in Akwa Ibom. They did all manners of things to me.

“Out of the five-man gang that abducted me, two of them knelt down and asked me to pray for them before they released me in the evening.”
