Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress, (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has held a closed-door meeting with foremost Economist Muhammad Hayatu-Deen.

The meeting took place at his residence in Lagos.

This is the first time Atiku is meeting with Hayatu-Deen who he defeated as a Presidential aspirant during the just concluded ADC primary election.

Atiku emerged as the ADC’s presidential candidate and was presented with the party flag after beenq declared winner of the primary.

But before then Hayatu-Deen had rejected the process alleging, irregularities and also boycotting the final collation of results in Abuja.

Also Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi had also rejected the outcome of the primary, alleging manipulation of the voting process.

Meanwhile, following his emergence, Atiku had appealed to aggrieved aspirants to work together for the party to achieve victory.

Atiku said, “In particular, I invite Chief Rotimi Amaechi and Alhaji Muhammad Hayatu-Deen to join me in this fight to save our democracy and our country.

“As I said previously, there are no winners and no losers. Our people look up to us for leadership, and I am ready to lead,” he said.

Before now, Atiku had also met with Amaechi in Abuja.
