Gunmen on Sunday night kidnapped a female lecturer of the Faculty of Administration at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Dr. Comfort Adokwe.
Investigation by Daily Trust indicated that yet to be identified gunmen invaded her residence at Angwan Jaba in Keffi, the headquarters of Keffi Local Government Area of the state and whisked her away to an unknown location while shooting sporadically into the air.
Our correspondent reports that the incident is happening barely two weeks after the kidnap of the deputy vice chancellor and four other students of the university.
Speaking to our correspondent on the incident on Tuesday, a resident of Keffi LGA, Musa Adamu, while expressing worry on the continuous issues of kidnapping and banditry in the state, appealed to the federal government to make more efforts to provide adequate security for residents of the state.

However, the wife and daughter of a professor who had earlier been kidnapped on Sunday night have regained their freedom after the payment of an undisclosed amount of ransom to their abductors on Monday night.
As of the time of filing this report, efforts made to get the reaction of the Nasarawa State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, proved abortive as he neither responded to calls put across to his mobile lines nor replied to the text message sent to him.
