Efforts to contain the spread of tuberculosis and other contagious diseases received a boost recently following the donation of a chest clinic to King Fahd Hospital, Gusau, Zamfara State.
The chest clinic was donated by partners in the Agbami field, Nigeria’s largest deep water project.
The partners are Star Deep Water Petroleum Ltd, Famfa Oil Limited, NNPC, Statoil Nigeria Limited and Petrolero Brasileiro Nigeria Limited.
The chest clinic comes fully equipped with a standard X-Ray machine, male and female wards, treatment rooms, laboratories and Gene Xpert machine.
Speaking at the symbolic handover of the hospital in Abuja, Director Star Deep Water, Mr. Richard Kennedy, said the partners have donated 26 chest clinics to different states since the Agbami field was commissioned.
