The Sokoto State Contributory Health Care Management Agency will conduct accreditation exercise of 200 health facilities across the state.
A statement signed by the Director of Administration of the agency, Bashir Mohammad, said this was part of the preparation for the launching of the scheme in the state. The statement added that the exercise would be conducted in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
It further stated that the accreditation was to ensure that the facilities met the minimum standards in terms of personnel, infrastructure and equipment required to provide best health care services.
“The scheme will reduce financial hardship and eliminate out-of-pocket expenses for residents of Sokoto State,” it said.
