The Director of the Abuja Geographic Information System AGIS, Dr. Isa Waziri Jalo has said AGIS has commenced the automation of processing the demands for the production of Certificates of Occupancy ( C of O) for conveyance to eligible C of O for conveyance to eligible allotees of lands in the territory.
In a statement signed by the AGIS head of Information and Customer Services Sule Haruna stated that the project is leveraging on the existing ICT infrastructure of AGIS, especially the computerised land administration iools user for this purpose.
“Other existing infrastructure include the AGIS Land Information System (LIS), the AGIS local Intranet and new technologies available to provide effective speed, monitoring as well as a system of live information and feedback at the click of the button,” the director added.
He said the application that is now fully deployed will automatically generate list of allotees’ file that are ready for C of- O after the 100% payment of premium fees while the list is instantly sent to audit unit for confirmation of payments.
Dr Jalo stated that after audit confirmation, the confirmed lists are sent for production, vetting or customer service according to the updated status of the file as contained in the application. The director stressed that the cycle continues automatically up to the stage of C of O execution and storage when the customer is notified to come for conveyance or collection, adding that the system is designed and Implemented as an application system that would import from the LIS secured list of titles ready for C of O production.
