AGRA plans $30m for seed value chain

Agricultural Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) has said that the organization will be spending the sum of $30 million over the next five years to strengthen Nigeria’s seed industry.

Country Manager, AGRA, Dr Kehinde Makinde, stated this at the Exploratory Workshop on Sustainable Quality Early Generation Seeds (EGS) supply in Abuja.

“With respect to funding support, AGRA in the new strategy that we have is spending $30 million over the next five years ( 2017 to 2021) on supporting value chain actors, government, and private sectors partners in Nigeria,’’  he said.
