A group has called for increased support for agribusinesses as a pathway to economic empowerment.
In a statement issued by Aofolajuwonlo Adeoye Foluso, National President and Director General of IB AMBO ORG, the group described the forthcoming election in Osun State as a critical opportunity for residents to “reclaim their progressive mandate” and pursue sustainable development.
The group formally endorsed Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing his leadership qualities and track record.
According to the statement, his decision to contest under the APC reflects a commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance.
Highlighting key policy areas, the group emphasized agricultural development as central to economic growth.
It noted that strengthening agribusinesses and supporting farmers would boost food production, reduce poverty, and create jobs.
The statement also outlined plans for broader economic empowerment, including youth-focused entrepreneurship programs, skills acquisition initiatives, and job creation strategies.
Infrastructure development covering roads, bridges, and public transport—was identified as another priority area.
Describing Oyebamiji as a seasoned administrator with strong grassroots support, the group said his policy blueprint is anchored on inclusivity, equity, and social justice.
