The Minister of Agriculture, Dr Akinwumi Adesina during a two-day technical consultation workshop on the Presidential Initiative on Youth Empowerment on Agriculture at the Transcop Hilton hotel, Abuja from the September 20 and 21, 2012, on the need to focus on agriculture maintained that “though Nigeria has had a dark past, let every Nigerian be assured that change has come”.

He stressed, “We have gone back to the roots to start from agriculture as the way forward.” Adesina said there may be challenges here and there but the time has come, when farmers will be riding the most expensive cars in the country.

It is also pertinent to know that nothing good comes easy, especially in a country like Nigeria, where we have a large population of people with diverse ethnic and socio-cultural backgrounds. We must however be driven by one mission of actualizing economic growth/prosperity, peace, unity and development in our dear country.

Let what we have started be continued, let the vision be pursued and attained, let the mission be accomplished, let the project be completed and let the book be fulfilled!

We believe in the value of capacity building for the purpose of transformation, peak performance, goal attainment, productivity and life management all geared towards improving the lives of the youth!
