Ahmad Muhammad Bande, Chief Executive Officer of Vortex Entertainment, is leading a series of initiatives aimed at expanding digital storytelling and youth-focused creative development in Nigeria.
Bande, who has worked across tech startups, youth programmes and creative projects, founded Vortex Entertainment to develop content rooted in African history and identity. One of the company’s ongoing projects, “Vortex Universe,” focuses on producing stories and characters inspired by African cultures through what it describes as a transmedia approach.
In interviews, Bande has said the goal is to broaden opportunities for young creatives in the country. “Vortex is more than a company; it’s a platform for young Nigerians to explore what is possible,” he said.
His work also extends into digital literacy and technology-driven capacity building. Over the years, he has collaborated with local and international partners on programmes involving marketing, AI applications, and project leadership for young professionals.
Bande is a member of ForbesBLK, a network that highlights Black professionals around the world. He is among a growing number of young Nigerians gaining visibility in global creative and tech communities while maintaining a focus on local industry development.
Vortex Entertainment says it aims to position Nigeria as a strong contributor to African-centred storytelling across media formats, with projects that blend culture, education and entertainment. The company is currently expanding its portfolio as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s creative ecosystem.
