Deputy leader (North) of the Jama’at, Dr Yakeen Habeeb, said in a statement that the conference will hold at the Abuja Central Mosque of the Jama’at in the Central Business District.
“The theme of this year’s conference is, “Islamic Model for National Reconciliation and Re-birth”. The Amir of the AMJ, Nigeria, Dr. Mashood A. Fashola, will deliver the keynote address on the conference theme.
“The conference is part of the Jama’at’s efforts at educating members on Islam’s perspective on the contemporary challenges of our time, particularly the challenges of nationhood as we mark our country’s centenary anniversary this year,” Habeeb said.
He said the conference will also provide the Jama’at the opportunity to educate members and other Muslims on their rights and obligations to their Creator (Allah) and responsibilities to humanity and society at large, and to also promote the spirit of friendship, good neighbourliness, spiritual and moral rejuvenation.
