The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has trained 100 basic school teachers on quality teaching.
The 10-day training, which took place in Kaduna, drew its participants from schools across the northern states.
Speaking, representative of the advisory council of the foundation, retired General Salihu Ibrahim, said the training was designed to develop the capacities of primary school teachers on teacher quality improvement strategies.
He said, “The foundation strongly believes that the way to arrest the fallen standard of education, especially at the basic education level, is to motivate and prepare teachers at all levels to take up the challenge and be masters of their destiny through professional teacher development programmes of the kind we are witnessing today.”
