Ahmed Musa sets two World Cup records in Nigeria”s win over Iceland

Ahmed Musa has set two World Cup records by firing Nigeria to their first win in Group D against Iceland on Friday.

The Leicester City striker struck twice in the second half to keep the Super Eagles in with a chance of reaching the last-16.

He is now Nigeria’s highest goal scorer in the World Cup.

Nigeria must now avoid defeat in the final game against Argentina next Tuesday.

And the Leicester City striker is also the first Nigerian to score at two different World Cup tournaments as he netted twice against Argentina in the group stage in 2014.

Croatia top Group D with six points following their win over Argentina on Friday evening, while Nigeria sit in second with their win over Iceland.

Argentina and Iceland both have one point after drawing their opening game in Moscow.
