Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has donated one million Naira to aid the Nasarawa State Old Boys Football team’s transportation to Birnin-Kebbi for their match against their Kebbi State counterparts.

Musa made this contribution at Lafia City Stadium while addressing the team, just before Kano Pillars FC’s final preparations for their Nigeria Premier Football League 2024/25 season Match Day 9 clash against Nasarawa United FC of Lafia.

The Nigeria FIFA World Cup all-time top scorer expressed fond memories of Nasarawa United’s role in relegating his former club, Juth FC, and humorously noted it’s “the perfect time to settle old scores.

Daily Trust reports that since rejoining Kano Pillars, Musa has been pivotal, directly contributing to 95% of the club’s goals, including a stellar performance against Rangers Int’l in their recent 4-3 victory.

It will be recalled that Musa lambasted Nigeria Premier Football League match officials, describing them as “moral killers” following their manhandling of the fixture between Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars.

The former Leicester City forward specifically criticised centre referee Dahiru Muhammed Kawo and assistant referee Abdulmajid Sani Potiskum for allowing a controversial goal where two Nasarawa United players, including the scorer, appeared to be in offside positions.
