AIG, ANRML Win Multiple Honours At Solid Minerals Excellence Awards

African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), a subsidiary of the African Industries Group (AIG), has been recognised for its outstanding leadership, innovation, and significant contributions to Nigeria’s solid minerals sector.

The recognition came at the Solid Minerals Excellence Awards (SOMEA), organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, held recently in Abuja.

At the event, AIG and ANRML received several prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Performer in Occupational Health and Safety Award, Mining Company of the Year – Iron Ore Award, and the Most Innovative Company Award.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Henry Dele Alake, emphasised the importance of the awards in promoting excellence and supporting the Federal Government’s vision for the growth and transformation of Nigeria’s mining industry.

Other dignitaries present at the event included the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Engr. Faruk Yusuf Yabo; the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF), Hajiya Fatima Umaru Shinkafi; and the Director of Investment Promotion and Mineral Trade (IPMT), Dr. Esther Udo.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of ANRML, Anand Dubey, described the awards as a reflection of the company’s dedication to operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, and global best practices in health and safety within the mining sector.

“We remain dedicated to driving growth and creating lasting value in Nigeria’s solid minerals industry,” Dubey said.
