The new Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in-charge of Zone 7, Abuja, Victor Olaiya, has charged the police area commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) under the FCT police command to continue to maintain law and order to ensure crime free society.

AIG Olaiya, who gave the charge while addressing senior officers of the FCT police command during his familiarization visit to the command on Thursday, urged the officers to ensure they live up to expectations in the discharge of their duties.

He stressed the importance of resourcefulness, relevance and usefulness of a police officer in crime prevention and protection of lives and properties.

He commended the personnel for hard work and tireless efforts to curb crimes in the nation’s capital.
