The Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Christopher Okoye, has asked the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) to evolve strategies for developing knowledge and skilled manpower that can adapt to the rapidly changing technological environment of the 21st century.

He made the remark at the matriculation ceremony of 146 National Diploma 1 students at the institute in Kaduna.

He said the signing of the AFIT bill and the associated benefits have provided the institute with the unique opportunity to prove its worth and set the pace as a centre of excellence for learning and research work in Nigeria, especially in aerospace engineering and allied disciplines.

He urged the students to strengthen the foundation for their future and develop their capacity to earn a place in today’s challenging and highly competitive market.
