Airbus plans to train thousands of Nigerian students free on robotics under its Airbus Little Engineer A380 (ALE) Robotics programme.
The programme, an initiative of the Airbus Foundation, would focus on training public and private secondary school students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) between the ages of 10 and 16.
Speaking at the launch, Andrea Debbane, Executive Director Airbus Foundation said Airbus Little Engineer A380 workshop was founded on the basis that robotics as a tool for alternative learning, is the key to technological education and innovation in the world today.
“Students in Nigeria, will have access to first hand learning tools and tutors to be effectively trained in the world of robotics and aviation technology,” he said.
