The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has expressed satisfaction with the rapid progress of the Airport–Kuje–Gwagwalada road, declaring that the project will be ready for inauguration by June.
Wike, who inspected the project on Wednesday, said he was impressed with the level of work completed so far.
He described the route as a vital piece of infrastructure that will significantly transform transportation within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
“I’m quite impressed. You know that the Airport to Kuje road is one road that is very key for us,” Wike stated.
He further noted the impact the road would have on traffic congestion: “As the contractors have said, God willing, by the end of June, we will be inaugurating this project. It’s a very important project; you won’t need to go through the airport if you are traveling to Gwagwalada or from Gwagwalada to town. We are very, very happy with what we have seen.”
