Wife of the President, Hajiya Aisha Buhari has donated campaign materials to Kano for her husband’s door-door campaign in the state.
The items were handed over to 27 House of representatives candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the flag off of the campaign.
Presenting the items to the contenders in Kano, the Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari on administration, Alhaji Hadi Uba said the wife of the president intended to reach to the grassroots in her campaign, hence the donation.
Uba therefore called on the receipients to ensure that the items reach the target, noting that “the task before you is to embark on rigorous door-door campaign for the victory of the president.
“You should ensure that voters in all nooks and carannies of Kano state vote for Buhari and all APC candidates in this year’s general election.”
Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, who was among the recipients, promised to deliver Kano to president Buhari come February 16, presidential election.
Rurum, a contender for the Rano/Bunkure federal constituency, said “Kano will deliver the five million votes its promised Buhari on February 16 before 12 noon.”
“We thanked the first lady for identifying us as worthy to be foot soldiers for Buhari’s door-door campaign in Kano. Our wives, friends and well-wishers will so join us in this task. I want assure the wife of the president that we will ensure the victory of Buhari in Kano,” he said.
Also responding, member House of Representatives representing Nassarawa federal constituency, Alhaji Nasiru Ali Ahmed, said the donation would greatly help them in camapaigning for Buhari.
