Nigeria is scheduled to host the Zonal Qualifier in Abuja from January 16-21 with junior players across the West Africa sub region jostling for honours
“The AJC has served a springboard for some of the best players in the continent and I want Nigerian players to take maximum advantage of the tournament, Ndanusa who is also the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee stated.
Nigeria was billed to host the tournament in 2012 but the championship was withdrawn from the country few weeks to its serve-off date due to security fears but with the country certain to have the highest number of entries and the NTF boss said that any player that excel at the AJC will get maximum support from the NTF to aid their career
 “The NTF is more committed than ever to invest in our junior players and by this i mean we will give support to them in terms of getting them tennis equipment as well as sending them abroad to better their skills in some of the best academy outside the country. They will be getting the type of support that other junior tennis stars of developed countries get.”
