Barely two weeks after the governor of Oyo state, senator Abiola Ajimobi lost his bid to return to the senate in Oyo south senatorial district to a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. kola Balogun, he has again lost his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections.
In his polling Unit located in ward 20, unit 11 within the Oluyole Community Grammar School, Ibadan South West local government APC polled 112, the PDP has 145.
In Ibadan North local government, a former Governor and leader of the coalition against APC, Alhaji Rashidi Ladoja won the unit for PDP. The gubernatorial result showed PDP garnering 180 to APC’s 34, in ward, unit 13 of Ibadan North local government.
Similarly, Chief Sharafadeen Alli who was the gubernatorial candidate of the ZLP but stepped down for Makinde of the PDP, delivered his polling unit.
In Alli’s family house, Biro compound, Oke Aremo, Ward 3, unit 022, PDP got 126 to APC’s 32.
The governorship candidate of PDP, Oluseyi Makinde in ward 11, unit 001 polled 165 while his counterpart in APC has 71 votes.
Also, a former senator, Olufemi Lanlehin in his ward 8 unit 2 Ibadan Northwest local government polled 136 votes while APC has 68 votes.
