The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of a caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the Lagos State chapter of the party.

The PDP National Organising Secretary, retired Col. Austin Akobundu, who announced this on Wednesday, said the decision of the NWC was pursuant to its powers under sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the PDP Constitution 2017 (as amended).  

According to him, members of the Lagos State Caretaker Committee are Engr. Julius Akinsola – chairman; Mr. Ademola Oyede – member; Dr. Babs Akinlolu – member; Nuru Abiodun Lawal – member; Alhaja Babs Olorunkemi- member; Chief Alani Ige – member; Mrs. Olabisi Odunsi – member; Alh. Bode Oladehinde – member; and Hon. Ade Adeniyi – secretary.
