The fourth in its series, this year’s Black Night which will be holding on April 3 has been conceptualised as a Black Carpet event. Publisher of the bi-monthly magazine, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, said the event, notable for celebrating men and their achievements, would not only be about having fun but also would be used as an avenue to raise funds for charity purposes.

“Nigeria, being the most populous black nation in the world, we are iconic in the celebration of the African/Nigerian man. We also intend to use the occasion to raise funds for an orphanage in Lagos, as a way of our social responsibility.”

Mode Men last year did a similar thing by raising funds for the purchase of goods for Pachelli School for the Blind, Surulere, Lagos and Dooshima Education Foundation in Makurdi, Benue State.

Ali Baba, Julius Agwu, Basket Mouth and AY will be on ground to dish out rib cracking jokes to guests. Also, music star, J. Martins, Jesse Jagz, Jaywon, Femi Adeyinka, Silver Saddih among others will perform to the delight of guests.

Leroy Owugah and Bimbo Akintola are listed as the masters of ceremonies for the Black Night.
