Speaking to Daily Trust at the just concluded agricultural show in Nasarawa State, Mrs. Theresa Thompson Akpan, the chairperson of the group, known as Women Agro Link International Foundation, WALIF, stated that their members came to the event to showcase their products and also learn from other stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
She said they are into production and processing of various crops, fish processing and other agricultural activities, especially cassava and palm products processing.
Pointing at the items exhibited, Mrs. Akpan told our reporter, “you can see a variety of products displayed over there. We have palm fruits, palm oil, palm kernel, palm kernel oil, cassava roots, cassava products, plantain, dried fish and other products.”
She continued, “We were empowered by our governor’s wife to engage in various activities in the agricultural value chain; our women are happy, their lives are changing for the better.”
