The Board of Al-Ansar University Maiduguri has approved the appointment of Prof. Abubakar Musa Kundiri as the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
The appointment is contained in a statement signed by Malam Bukar Usman, Registrar of the university.
According to the statement, “The appointment was after due approval by both the Governing Council and Board of Trustees based on the recommendation of the Selection Board Chaired by Professor Isa Marte, Hussaini.
as well as Department of State Security Services (DSS) security clearance and the new Vice-Chancellor is expected to assume office on Wednesday 15th June 2022,”
Kundiri is a professor of Soil and Water Management and is currently a visiting professor at the National Universities Commission (NUC) Abuja, and has served as Vice-Chancellor Federal University of Dutse, Jigawa State, and Federal University Wukari Taraba State, respectively.
