Al-Hikmah matriculates 1,140 students, warns against vices

Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, Friday, matriculated 1,140 students with a warning to them not to engage in anti-social vices.

Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof Noah Yusuf, who gave the warning while delivering his address at the 17th matriculation ceremony, particularly charged them to shun drug abuse, cultism and examination malpractice.

Yusuf who emphasized the importance of morals in the pursuit of quality education advised the new intakes to make the best use of their time.

He said the institution was the first Islamic faith-based University in Nigeria established in 2005 which enjoys full accreditation status of all its academic programmes.
