As part of this partnership, Phinnx.com has deployed facilities to computerise assignment processing, check plagiarism, conduct course material distribution, course and assignment discussion threads, enterprise search system, browser-based video conferencing, illustrator tool and instant messenger among other features.
Students and staff of the department of physical sciences were the first to subscribe to the initiative, describing it as exciting and encouraging.  
Suleiman Basit, a 400-level student of geology, was delighted with the development, saying: “Not much noise was made about the partnership but it is the most exciting learning system I have ever used.”
The initiative can be accessed through most phones, tablets and PCs and the Phinnx community process allows all Phinnx users to request new features or upgrade the existing ones. All services are offered without any financial charges.  
Members of staff of the university were pleased with the initiative, saying that it will assist the young institution in computerising its operations.
