About 1,400 fresh students of Al-Qalam University took part in its 12th matriculation exercise with a call on them to be of good behaviour.

Speaking at the occasion, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu G. Ado, said the institute would not hesitate to deal with any students found wanting in character and attitude.

 Earlier, the Registrar, Mallam Sani Abashe Adamu, described the ceremony as another milestone in the history of the university, saying students should learn to behave morally and that the university was unique as the first Islamic based university in the north- west region.

A statement issued by the Information officer of the university, Atiku Abubakar, said the National Universities Commission (NUC) was set for another round of accreditation of courses this year and called on the university community to work as a team for efficient service delivery.
